From its base in Waterford, The Institute provides top quality seminars, consulting and training throughout Ireland. Assignments have been undertaken in other EU countries including Scotland, England, Switzerland, Italy and Greece. The Institute also acted as consultants to the International Labour Organization (ILO) in Turin Italy, on the prevention and assistance training on alcohol and drug problems for the countries of India, Sri Lanka, Thailand and the Philippines.
The Institute has pioneered a comprehensive response for all workplace behavioural risks to comply with The Safety, Health, and Welfare at Work Act 2005, including work stress, critical incident stress (arising from industrial accidents, fire and explosion), workplace violence (assaults by intruders and co-workers) workplace bullying and intoxicants (defined as drugs and alcohol).
In response to the changing work environment, the Institute developed a new model of employee support services and a training module on engagement and resilience to ease business transition to a knowledge based economy.
