The EAP Institute offers a wide range of training and consulting programmes for the following:

Drugs and Alcohol at Work – Complying with Section 13(1) of the Safety, Health & Welfare at Work Act 2005
|
|
At the end of this training, those attending will be in a position to:
- Draw up agreed drug and alcohol policies and procedures with employee representatives
- Conduct drug and alcohol risk assessment and identify control measures which are reflected in the safety statement
- Outline Directors Managers legal obligations
- Advise Employees of their personal responsibilities in relation to The Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005. Train Supervisors and Managers.
- Provide employee support services and reasonable accommodation for treatment and rehabilitation of identified employees
- Treatment and Rehabilitation
- Provide employee drug testing to The European Workplace Drug Testing Society (EWDTS) standards.

Implementing Employee Assistance / Support Services
|
|
At the end of this training those attending will be in a position to:
Implement Employee Assistance / Employee Support Services to cover the following workplace behavioural risks:
- Work Stress (Overload)
- Critical Incident Stress (arising from industrial accident fire, explosions and staff assaults)
- Workplace violence
- Workplace bullying
- Intoxicants (defined as drugs and alcohol)

Employee Health & Wellbeing
|
|
At the end of this training those attending will be in a position to:
Develop a preventative approach to Employee Health & Wellbeing to include the following:
- Conduct a risk assessment on all physical / behavioural risks
- Implement a Health Surveillance Programme
- Develop a Health Promotion Programme
- Develop Resilience Training
- Provide Employee Assistance / Employee Support S

Professional Development Hours (PDH’s) will be applied for to The Employee Assistance Certification Commission (EACC).
Institute of Occupational Safety and Health will be able to allocate CPD points at the rate of 2 points per course day
